About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at Rexall Pharmacy Group ULC. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of category strategies and plans to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies and plans to achieve business objectives
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute category plans and ensure alignment with business goals
  • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate co-op rates and manage promotional activities
  • Manage budgets and financial performance of categories
  • Develop and maintain efficient product mix for planograms
  • Collaborate with McKesson to ensure accurate product listings and pricing
  • Facilitate new product listings and communicate product changes to vendors and stores
  • Establish pricing tactics and monitor implementation
  • Lead shrink and outdates with operations and vendors
  • Prepare and deliver special presentations as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
  • 2-3 years' experience as a Category Manager or 3-5 years' experience as an Assistant Category Manager or Buyer with progressive expansion of responsibilities
  • Strong business acumen and ability to see big picture
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to work with ambiguity
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Financial analysis and planning skills
  • Technical skills (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, MicroStrategy etc.)
