Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Royal Canadian Lodge Banff (InnVest Hotels LP). As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of food, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate food and labor costs, and maintain accurate records of food consumption and inventory.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks and specialist chefs, to ensure seamless food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and implement menus, ensuring that food meets quality standards and is presented in an appealing manner.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Proven track record of managing kitchen staff and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
