We are a dynamic and fast-paced cafe looking for an experienced food service supervisor to join our team.

Job Description:

A Culinary Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that all menu items meet our high standards of quality and presentation. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Schedule Management: Establish and manage work schedules for kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  2. Team Supervision: Supervise and coordinate activities of up to 10 staff members, including cooks and kitchen assistants, to maintain productivity and efficiency.
  3. Training and Development: Train new staff members in job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols to ensure they meet our standards.
  4. Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring minimal waste and optimal stock levels.
  5. Quality Control: Monitor food quality and service standards, addressing customer complaints and concerns promptly.
  6. Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate reports on sales, inventory, and other relevant metrics to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or in a related industry.• Strong leadership and communication skills.• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.• Basic math skills for inventory management and reporting.• Familiarity with food safety and handling procedures.• Availability to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends.• High school diploma required, post-secondary education an asset.
