We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at HALAL MEAT FACTORY. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting
- Cut and trim meats to meet customer specifications
- Wrap and package prepared meats for sale
- Remove bones from meat and prepare for sale
- Weigh meats for sale and ensure accurate labeling
- Cut poultry into parts and prepare for sale
- Price meat products and ensure accurate labeling
- Clean and prepare fish and shellfish for sale
- Sell meats to customers and provide excellent customer service
- Grind meats and prepare special sausages
- Slice cooked meats and prepare for sale
- Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Our butcher shop is a cold and refrigerated environment, and you will be working with odours and meat products. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.
LanguageEnglish is the primary language spoken in our workplace, and you will be required to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.Hours of Work
You will be working 35 hours per week, with a permanent contract.
