Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our team at Coast Tire & Auto Service Ltd. As an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units, adjusting and repairing parts and components, and performing scheduled maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and perform repairs as needed.
  • Adjust and Repair Parts and Components: Adjust and repair parts and components of automotive systems, including brakes, suspension, and steering systems.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance Services: Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Advise Customers: Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Complete Reports: Complete reports to record problems and work performed, and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a strong understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques is essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the automotive repair industry is an asset, but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent mechanical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and steel-toed safety boots are required.
