Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our team at Coast Tire & Auto Service Ltd. As an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced technicians in the diagnosis and repair of complex automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify faults and malfunctions in automotive systems.
  • Adjust, Repair or Replace Parts and Components: Effectively repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Repair or Replace Mechanical Units or Components: Perform repairs or replacements of mechanical units or components to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Systems: Thoroughly test and adjust repaired systems to ensure they meet manufacturer's specifications.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance Service: Provide routine maintenance services to ensure vehicles are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Advise Customers on Work Performed: Communicate with customers to explain work performed and provide recommendations for future repairs.
  • Complete Reports to Record Problems and Work Performed: Accurately document problems and work performed to maintain a record of vehicle history.
  • Provide Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Repair and Balance Tires: Effectively repair and balance tires to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the field of employment is an asset.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
  • Tools and Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and tools are required for this position.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and a team player.
