Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Executive Director of Environmental Services and Portering to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff and day-to-day operations to ensure all contractual service levels are met and maintained. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing staff and daily operations to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations;
- Completing financial reporting including payroll, period summaries, and sales reports in a timely and accurate manner;
- Human Resource management including administrative tasks, personnel files, collective agreements, hiring, training, and discipline;
- Maintaining budgetary controls, cost management, and inventory control;
- Developing and maintaining a strong knowledge of resident preferences and incorporating these into service delivery; and
- Implementing and managing the Quality Assurance program as outlined by the company and the client.
The Executive Director of Environmental Services and Portering will be responsible for:
- Managing a team of staff to ensure that all areas of environmental services and portering are run efficiently and effectively;
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services;
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of services;
- Maintaining accurate records and reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement;
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve company goals and objectives;
- Providing excellent customer service to residents, families, and visitors;
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements;
- Participating in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices;
- Supporting and contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of two years previous management experience or equivalent supervisory role in a long-term healthcare setting;
- Excellent leadership ability and customer service skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- A proven track record of successfully managing teams and achieving results-driven outcomes;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
