Job Summary

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
  • Manage and coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers within the practice and community.
  • Provide care and coordination of community-based care, secondary, and tertiary level healthcare services.
  • Build and maintain a patient panel, with a focus on providing same-day or next-day access to care.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities to enhance patient care and services.
  • Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) to record patient details and ensure accessibility to all collaborating team members.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
  • Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BCLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Emergency department experience is an asset.
  • College of Family Physicians of Canada ER certification is considered an asset.
Working Conditions
