Country Risk Analyst

About the Role:
Export Development Canada (EDC) is seeking a highly skilled Country Risk Analyst to join our Country and Sector Intelligence (CSI) team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and forecasting economic and political trends, providing country risk ratings, and developing intelligence to support EDC's decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report on political, economic, and business conditions in assigned countries.
- Analyze and forecast economic, political, and financial trends relevant to the country/region.
- Develop and maintain country risk ratings, leveraging advanced economic and political analysis models.
- Provide research support and assist in the development of additional outlets for market intelligence.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in economics, political science, international relations, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of work-related experience in sector, political analysis, economic forecasting, or related experience.
Assets:
- Experience in communicating economic concepts and forecasts to a general audience.
- Bilingual in both official languages (French and English).
- Macroeconomic forecasting experience as it relates to economic indicators like GDP.
