About the Opportunity

This role involves spending quality time with residents to provide companionship, engage in meaningful conversations and offer support as needed. Additionally, you will be responsible for answering call bells, redirecting residents when necessary, and supporting them in recreation programming.

Assisting residents with eating under the direction of nursing staff is another key aspect of this role. You will also be responsible for performing employee screening, including measuring and recording temperatures, promoting and enforcing social distancing protocols, monitoring points of entry, and assisting with family visits, meal services, daily activities, and other tasks such as using technology.

Job Requirements
  • A post-secondary education or equivalent experience, valid CPR/First Aid training, Food Handlers Certification, and/or experience working in a healthcare environment are required.
  • Previous work experience that is client-focused, safety-minded, and covers a broad skillset is highly valued.
  • You must be available to work shifts on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Adaptability, friendliness, and a willingness to provide assistance where necessary are essential qualities for this role.
