Primary Care Physician

We are seeking an experienced Primary Care Physician to join our collaborative practice at the Centennial Professional Centre in Kentville, Nova Scotia. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a turn-key practice with a strong focus on team-based care.
The ideal candidate will be a family medicine physician with excellent clinical skills and a passion for providing high-quality patient care. You will be working alongside a part-time physician, a family practice nurse, two nurse practitioners, an RN, and a social worker, as well as an in-house full-service retail pharmacy and a vein and laser clinic.
Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
- Be accountable for appropriate workload and practice
- Provide continuum of patient care with healthcare providers within your practice and/or community
- Coordinate community-based care, secondary and tertiary level healthcare
- Build to capacity within the first two years
- Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Nova Scotia Health Authority
- Work towards same day or next day access for the practice population
- Collaborate with other team members to best suit the community's health needs
- Work with other providers to provide after-hours access and emergency coverage when required
- Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities
- Full-time or part-time hours available
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
The estimated salary for this position is between $200,000 and $300,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a competitive salary range for a Primary Care Physician in Nova Scotia.
