Job Title: Senior Analytical Chemist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to join our team in quality control testing of pharmaceutical drug products and lead analytical method development, transfer, and validation activities. As an expert in QC testing, you will provide technical leadership and project management support to our Analytical Development, Production, and QA teams.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing analytical methods and validation procedures to ensure consistent high quality.
  • Conducting routine and complex validation activities independently and providing guidance to junior staff.
  • Providing analytical support for process development, including characterization of starting materials, intermediates, API, and finished products.
  • Performing structure elucidation of unknown impurities and degradation products.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, or Biotechnology.
  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. preferred.
  • 8+ years' hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical GMP environment.
  • Hands-on experience with developing new analytical methods and validation.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to support a 7-day work week and manufacturing/client demand at varying times.
  • Ability to lift 23 kilograms required.
What You Bring to the Role

You will bring your expertise in:

  • QC testing of materials and products using HPLC, GC, TLC, etc.
  • HPLC and GC method development and validation, including thorough documentation.
  • Data interpretation of UV, IR, MS, and NMR spectra.
  • Proficiency in chemical analysis, including protein characterization and UV/VIS.
  • Experience with sterile products and BSL2 laboratory environments.
  • Strong writing skills and excellent communication skills in English.
Estimated Salary

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
