$120,000 - $150,000 per year

Job Description:

A Senior Analytical Chemist is responsible for quality control testing of pharmaceutical drug products and expert analytical test method development (HPLC, GC, etc.). The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, project management support, and establish work schedules to ensure task completion in a timely fashion while maintaining consistent high quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement, and complete assigned projects and tasks in a timely manner
  • Define comprehensive validation procedures for analytical methods based on scientific knowledge and experience
  • Perform routine and complex validation activities independently and provide guidance to junior staff
  • Write test reports, data summaries, and statistical evaluations/trending
  • Initiate change controls to implement/revise/improve programs and methods
Requirements:

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, or Biotechnology. Key qualifications include proficiency in chemical analysis, data interpretation of UV, IR, MS, and NMR spectra, and experience with QC testing of materials and products using HPLC, GC, TLC, etc.

Familiarity with sterile products, BSL2 laboratory environments, and microbiological testing (Bioburden, Sterility, Bacterial Endotoxins) is considered an asset.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, plus Group Health & Dental Benefits from day one. Flexibility in work schedule is required to support a 7-day work week and manufacturing/client demand at varying times.
