About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Bunge. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality control across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Lead investigations into customer complaints and provide effective responses, including corrective actions.
- Work closely with our QA Manager and Purchasing Coordinator to ensure technical aspects of products meet regulatory and customer requirements.
- Promote awareness of customer and regulatory requirements through ongoing training.
- Ensure that revision status of documented policies, procedures, and quality records are authorized, maintained, and controlled.
- Verify and maintain our Quality and Food/Feed Safety systems.
- Supervise and enforce documentation related to QMS and Food/Feed Safety systems.
- Conduct annual sanitation and chemical safety training, as well as HACCP and Food/Feed Safety/GMP training.
- Manage rework and plan completion of internal audits as required by QMS/Food/Feed Safety Systems.
- Communicate all Food/Feed safety and quality concerns to management.
- Participate in Job Hazard Analyses, Near-Miss Reporting, and other required safety-related activities.
- Maintain awareness of developments in quality, regulatory, analytical, and safety requirements and incorporate them into operations as needed.
- Verify quality confirmation of all product ingredients and ensure purchases are from approved suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a science or technical field is preferred; candidates with equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 7 years of lab experience in oils & fats, food processing, grain milling, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or related industries is required.
- Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, is preferred.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.
Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth and development.
