Nurse Specialist for Complex Wound Management

About the RoleThis position involves providing specialized care to individuals with complex wound concerns, including ostomies and urinary and fecal continence issues.
Responsibilities- Clinical Support and Consultation:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients with wound-related concerns
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with interprofessional teams
- Provide education and mentorship to build wound care capacity within SE Health
- Offer consultation services to care providers
- Promote quality healthcare through teaching, mentoring, and program development
- Review Quality Improvement reports to optimize client outcomes
- Identify nursing trends and issues related to specialty wound management
- Develop information tools and educational initiatives for care providers
- Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Canada (NSWOCC) WOC-EP program certification or international equivalent
- Current and active membership in NSWOC Canada preferred
- RN with current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Flexibility and commitment to advancing wound care at SE Health
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $100,000-$120,000, depending on experience.
