Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist in Wound, Ostomy and Continence to join our team. In this role, you will provide specialized care to clients with wound, ostomy, and continence-related concerns. Your expertise will be utilized to assess, plan, and implement comprehensive care plans that promote optimal health outcomes.
Clinical Support and Consultation- Conduct thorough assessments of clients with wound, ostomy, and/or continence-related concerns.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
- Provide education and mentorship experiences to build wound, ostomy, and continence knowledge within SE Health.
- SUPPORTS QUALITY HEALTH CARE THROUGH TEACHING, MENTORING, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND QUALITY MONITORING
- OPTIMIZES CLIENT OUTCOMES THROUGH REVIEW OF QUALITY IMPROVEMENT REPORTS TO PRIORITIZE NEED
- IDENTIFY NURSING TRENDS AND ISSUES RELATED TO SPECIALTY WOUND OSTOMY AND CONTINENCE MANAGEMENT
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Completed Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Canada (NSWOCC) WOC-EP program.
- Current and active membership in NSWOC Canada, preferred.
- RN with current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
