Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist in Wound, Ostomy and Continence to join our team. In this role, you will provide specialized care to clients with wound, ostomy, and continence-related concerns. Your expertise will be utilized to assess, plan, and implement comprehensive care plans that promote optimal health outcomes.

Clinical Support and Consultation
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients with wound, ostomy, and/or continence-related concerns.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
  • Provide education and mentorship experiences to build wound, ostomy, and continence knowledge within SE Health.
Program Development/Leadership
  • SUPPORTS QUALITY HEALTH CARE THROUGH TEACHING, MENTORING, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND QUALITY MONITORING
  • OPTIMIZES CLIENT OUTCOMES THROUGH REVIEW OF QUALITY IMPROVEMENT REPORTS TO PRIORITIZE NEED
  • IDENTIFY NURSING TRENDS AND ISSUES RELATED TO SPECIALTY WOUND OSTOMY AND CONTINENCE MANAGEMENT
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Completed Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Canada (NSWOCC) WOC-EP program.
  • Current and active membership in NSWOC Canada, preferred.
  • RN with current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
