Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Mee Kiin Thai Kitchen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Job Summary:
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
  • Source and purchase high-quality ingredients and supplies to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including food, supplies, and equipment, to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house and management, to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate special events and functions, including weddings, corporate events, and private parties.
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for large events and functions.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on consistency and quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with other departments and teams.
