The Government of Nova Scotia offers a unique opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Health and Wellness Department.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced administrative professional to provide senior-level support to senior leaders within the System Integration Branch. This role will involve providing administrative leadership across the branch, supporting executive directors, and ensuring efficient office operations.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing confidential correspondence, reports, and presentations on behalf of senior leadership;
  • Coordinating with other administrative assistants to ensure consistency of processes and information continuity;
  • Routing and prioritizing incoming mail, inquiries, and correspondence;
  • Coordinating schedules, calendars, travel arrangements, and meetings;
  • Ensuring constant innovation and administrative process improvements;
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A one-year business course or equivalent education;
  • Several years of senior office administration/secretarial experience;
  • Excellent grammar, proofreading, and organizational skills;
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality;

The salary range for this position is $49,215 - $61,915 per year, based on a 35-hour workweek and bi-weekly pay.
