Sales Vice President, Personal Insurance Leadership Position

About the Role:

The Vice President of Sales, Personal Insurance will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and innovation of HUB International's business. This individual will lead sales teams to success through effective planning and execution, motivating for sales success, coaching, building relationships, and negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contributes new, fresh thinking and ideas to the Personal Insurance business model
  2. Develops annual sales plans and budgets with a focus on new business opportunities, business retention, and cross-selling
  3. Coaches and trains sales teams on sales techniques, closing techniques, client service, behaviors, understanding, and adapting
  4. Creates sales contests and competitions
  5. Performs analysis of current Personal Insurance sales models and identifies areas for enhancement and evolution to ensure maximum revenue growth
  6. Understands and champions for any resources required to meet revenue growth goals
  7. Works with line of business leaders through annual budgets
  8. Seeks out training and development opportunities through Sales Force Development (SFD) and adapts training for Personal Insurance
  9. Tracks team sales metrics and reports to leadership regularly
  10. Accountable for submitting the Personal Insurance President's Report monthly
  11. Attends prospect and client meetings
  12. Works collaboratively with management teams
  13. Incorporates Personal Insurance into the Critical Path process where applicable
  14. Applies proven sales ability and client-focused sales acumen to help teams achieve targets

Requirements:

  • Strong business acumen
  • Proven ability to lead sales teams to success through sales planning and plan execution, motivating for sales success, coaching, building relationships, and negotiation
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal skills (internal and external)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Hard working, reliable, accountable, and dedicated to obtaining results
  • Strong strategic and business planning skills
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a changing environment
  • Familiar with data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of management, direct reports, colleagues, and front-line talent to create a results-driven and team-oriented environment
  • 5 years of industry sales experience
  • 5 years of management/sales leadership experience (insurance or other industry)
  • Level 3 General Insurance License (or eligible to qualify)
  • CAIB, CIP, FCIP designations preferred
