Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Vision Loss Rehabilitation Specialist - Low Vision Expert to join our team at Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive low vision services to individuals with vision loss.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough functional low vision assessments to determine the best course of action for each client.
  • Develop personalized plans to help clients maximize their residual vision and maintain independence.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and referrals as needed.
  • Provide education and training on the use of optical and non-optical aids, as well as adaptive technology.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated expertise in low vision rehabilitation, including knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • ACVREP certification or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition to a generous compensation package, we offer a comprehensive benefits program, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.
