About the Role:

We are seeking an Electrical Instrumentation Specialist to join our team at Newmont. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Job Summary:

The Electrical Instrumentation Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of electrical instruments and systems in our mines and quarries. This includes inspecting and repairing system components, completing test and maintenance reports, and calibrating instruments. The successful candidate will have 5 years or more of experience in instrumentation and control technician roles, with a strong understanding of electrical control systems and electronic process instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and Maintain Instruments: Conduct regular inspections of electrical instruments and systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely.
  • Repair and Calibrate Components: Repair and calibrate system components as needed, including electrical control systems and electronic process instrumentation.
  • Complete Reports: Complete thorough test and maintenance reports to document work completed and identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance work to prevent instrument failures and minimize downtime.

Requirements:

  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in instrumentation and control technician roles
  • Certifications: Instrumentation and Control Technicians (Red Seal)
