Eating Disorders Therapist, MHSU

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Eating Disorders Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide consultation, case management, and therapy to individuals and families affected by eating disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Assess clients and determine referral needs, providing group therapy, family therapy, and group education.
- Liaise with community resources for specialized services and formulate and implement treatment plans.
- Participate in internal and external case conferences and develop, coordinate, and deliver in-services.
- Develop and evaluate eating disorders services, ensuring high-quality care and positive community relationships.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staff and provide internal and local training on eating disorders as requested.
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or other relevant health-related discipline.
- Two years' recent related experience working with eating disordered clients or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Eligible for registration with relevant professional association.
- Demonstrated knowledge of eating disorders intervention strategies.
- Ability to assess, plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and problem-solve.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Acts, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to educate and provide consultation to clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
