Nutrition Consultant for Eating Disorders

We are seeking a highly skilled Dietitian to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing nutrition consultation and education to clients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Nutrition Education and Consultation: Develop, coordinate, and present education materials to diverse populations, promoting the role of nutrition in health and healthcare.
- Comprehensive Nutritional Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' eating habits and develop personalized nutrition care plans.
- Clinical Nutrition Counseling: Provide evidence-based counseling to clients with eating disorders, using motivational strategies to support behavior change.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to monitor treatment progress, evaluate outcomes, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Program Development and Evaluation: Participate in the development of goals, objectives, standards, and procedures for the Nutrition Program.
- Quality Improvement and Research: Identify care issues, collect data, and prepare statistics to inform quality improvement initiatives and research projects.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition from an accredited university, successful completion of a community nutrition or dietetics internship program, and two years' recent experience in client-centered counseling for eating disorders.
- Registration and Certification: Registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and valid BC Driver's license.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated client-centered counseling skills, thorough knowledge of eating disorders, effective teaching and presentation skills, and ability to work in high-volume/high-stress environments.
