Job Description:

Societe Generale is seeking a skilled Corporate Credit Analyst to join our team in the Credit Portfolio Management Group (CPM). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio comprised of large US corporates and subsidiaries of non-US groups in diverse industries.

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience as a credit analyst in a corporate and investment banking entity or related field. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required, and proficiency in English is a must. French language skills are also desired.

About the Role:
  • Prepare comprehensive credit analyses, reviewing legal documentation, and ongoing portfolio monitoring under the supervision of a Senior Credit Analyst.
  • Analyze financial statements, review client strategies, business risks, industry dynamics, and competitive environments.
  • Determine debt repayment capabilities, ensuring compliance with Societe Generale's Credit Policies.
  • Propose and update Obligor Risk Ratings, monitoring compliance with covenants.
  • Liaise with CPM teams, business lines, bankers, lawyers, compliance officers, operations staff, and risk management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of finance, accounting, and commercial and investment banking products.
  • Proficiency in Excel for spreadsheet analysis and Word for written analysis.
  • Ability to assess credit terms, conditions, financial covenants, security, and collateral.
  • Excellent writing skills, particularly in assessing and summarizing financial transactions.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, synthesizing data to draw conclusions.

Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $120,000-$160,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
