Corporate Credit Risk Manager

About the RoleSociete Generale is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join its team. As a key member of the Credit Portfolio Management Group (CPM), you will work under the supervision of a Director - Senior Credit Analyst and be part of a team responsible for managing a portfolio comprised of large US corporates and subsidiaries of non-US groups in diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare comprehensive credit analyses, reviewing legal documentation, and ongoing portfolio monitoring under the supervision of the Senior Credit Analyst.
- Assess credit quality, recommend credit limits, terms, and conditions for corporate counterparties, including financial statements analysis (P&L, BS, and CF), review of client strategy, business risk, industry dynamics, competitive environment.
- Determine debt repayment capability and ensure compliance with SGUS Credit Policies.
- Propose and update Obligor Risk Ratings.
- Monitor compliance with covenants.
- Review relevant legal documentation and propose changes as necessary to comply with SGUS policies.
- Liaise with other CPM teams, business lines, Bankers, legal & compliance, operations, and Risk department.
As a Credit Analyst, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in commercial and investment banking products, financial transactions, accounting, legal, and regulatory issues governing relevant sectors.
Requirements:- 8-10 years of experience as a credit analyst in a corporate and investment banking entity or related field.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in using Word for written analysis and Excel for spreadsheet analysis.
- Knowledge of capital markets/traded products and committed financing facilities.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
This is a full-time position offering a salary range of $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including minimum 20 vacation days, health spending accounts, personal spending accounts, and hybrid work arrangement.
