Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic tiles, marble, and granite in various settings, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring, marking, and cutting tiles as needed.
- Install tile strips and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
- Align and straighten tiles to ensure a smooth and even finish.
- Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on tile installation techniques.
- Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets as required.
- Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite tiles.
- 1-2 years of experience in tile installation.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Valid driver's licence and own vehicle.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to distinguish between colours and work in a team environment.
