Regulatory Affairs Compliance Expert for Citigroup Inc.

The Compliance Risk Country Officer (CRCO) plays a pivotal role in ensuring Citi's activities within Canada adhere to global policies, standards, and processes. This includes identifying jurisdictional requirements, accountabilities, and process ownership, as well as determining suitable staffing, budget, and hours required to achieve compliance within risk appetite.
Main Responsibilities:- Oversee the Compliance Program for all Citi activity within Canada
- Implement applicable global compliance processes and set Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) priorities
- Drive transformation and work closely with senior product, function, and regional management, as well as other ICRM teams on strategic initiatives and emerging issues
- Strong understanding of local regulatory requirements and obligations
- Ability to identify emerging compliance issues and themes, and influence senior business leaders on compliance risk-related matters
- Credibility as a subject matter expert and experience of dealing with high-impact issues at all levels of the organization
- Fluency in English language and local language proficiency
