Job Summary

The Chief Compliance Officer for Canada is a critical role within the Citigroup Inc. organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the Compliance Risk Management Program for Canada, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met and that the company maintains a strong compliance culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance Risk Management
    • Develop and implement compliance risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations to senior management to address any identified risks.
  • Compliance Monitoring and Reporting
    • Develop and implement compliance monitoring and reporting procedures to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met.
    • Provide regular reports to senior management on compliance risk management activities and trends.
  • Training and Awareness
    • Develop and implement compliance training and awareness programs to ensure that all employees understand their compliance responsibilities.
    • Conduct regular training sessions and provide guidance to employees on compliance policies and procedures.
  • Regulatory Relations
    • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies to ensure that the company is in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
    • Provide regular updates to regulatory agencies on compliance risk management activities and trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, law, or finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance risk management, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance risk management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
