Strategic Risk Manager for Financial Disclosures

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Risk Manager to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving transformation of the Auditor Independence function to streamline activities while mitigating risk.
You will develop materials supporting the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors in their oversight of our external auditors, including the audit plan, audit fees, and evaluation of the external auditors based on quality of service, independence, objectivity, and expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Foster trust and cross-functional efficiencies through effective collaboration with key contributors across Finance and other functional groups.
- Develop strategies and perform analysis to support the fairness of fees charged by our auditors.
- Manage day-to-day engagement tracking and provide critical support to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Chartered Professional Accountant designation and 6+ years of working experience.
- Experience with financial reporting and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively to senior executives.
