Job Summary

The Vision Centre Manager is a key role within Walmart Canada, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Vision Centre. This includes managing the team, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth through effective program execution and brand promotion.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Reports to the Division Manager for professional services and is accountable for delivering sales budget and controlling wages according to the Profit and Loss statement.
  2. Develops the optical business through executing programs and promoting the Walmart brand.
  3. Builds collaborative relationships with Optometrists and other healthcare providers in Walmart and within the community.
  4. Troubleshoots and problem solves issues to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  5. Accepts and evaluates written prescription orders from customers or doctors.
  6. Responsible for maintaining overall safe working conditions, including proper equipment maintenance and following emergency policies to protect the optical team and public.
  7. Ensures compliance with Provincial and Federal Guidelines when dispensing prescription and non-prescription eyewear.
  8. Maintains the Vision Centre fully operational during posted business hours and delegates tasks to other associates within their regulatory framework to manage their workload.
  9. Familiarity with the regulatory environment in their region and practices within it.
