About the Role
As an Asset Management Assistant at the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, you will play a vital role in supporting the Parks, Fleet and Facilities division. This temporary full-time opportunity is perfect for someone looking to gain experience in asset management and administration.

Job Summary
This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can provide administrative support to the Manager and team members. The successful candidate will be responsible for prioritizing tasks, coordinating projects, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and maintain a positive working relationship with internal stakeholders
- Provide administrative assistance to the Manager, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records
- Coordinate ordering and purchasing of supplies, equipment, and services for the functional area
- Manage databases and provide user training for facility bookings and maintenance schedules
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the functional area's annual budget and quarterly variance reports
- Receive and screen information, correspondence, visitors, and phone calls using judgment and sensitivity to the Manager's priorities
- Arrange meetings, agendas, recording, and transcribing minutes
- Participate in special projects as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor

Essential Qualifications
- College certificate or diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related program
- 2-4 years of related administrative experience, preferably in a municipal or government setting
- Experience working in an office environment, handling multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Working Environment
This position works indoors, primarily in an office setting. Some flexibility may be required to attend on-site meetings or work from home. As per the Working Remotely Policy, employees scheduled to work remotely may occasionally be called to a municipal onsite work location on short notice.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position is $29.028 to $32.878 per hour, plus 15% in lieu of benefits (including group benefits, statutory & non-statutory holidays, and non-enrolment in OMERS) and 4% vacation pay. A valid class G Ontario driver's licence is required, and a reliable vehicle is preferred.
