Posting Overview:
The Coordinator of IT Security Services reports to the Supervisor of IT Security Services and provides security support for all Information Technology infrastructure and services. In addition, under the direction of the Supervisor of IT Security Services, the Coordinator of IT Security Services undertakes administrative and disciplinary investigations on IT systems and services. The Coordinator of IT Security Services protects and ensures the integrity of all Board IT systems and data, whether hosted on site, or off-site. The role is responsible to proactively ensure security requirements are built in to system design and selection, ensure ongoing security integrity of all systems. The incumbent is required to keep up to date on current security threats and recommend mitigation activities and incident response. The Coordinator of IT Security Services will provide input to policies and procedures for security investigations, systems security design, ongoing security management, and security breach protocols. The role is also responsible for training end users and technical staff on all matters of IT security.

Qualifications/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in computer studies or related discipline. Equivalent relevant experience would be considered;
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) highly desirable;
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CCSP an asset;
- Microsoft MCITP (MCSE) an asset;
- minimum of four years related experience in enterprise IT infrastructure with an emphasis on security is preferred.

Other Key Skills & Knowledge:

- Support and maintain all IT systems and services from a security standpoint;
- Support the development of IT security standards, procedures and policies;
- Support responses for IT security breaches as directed;
- Evaluate systems and services for security integrity;
- Conduct routine security audits on all systems and services;
- Keep abreast of latest security threats and recommend mitigating strategies and actions;
- Provide network support;
- Conduct IT security investigations (technical and administrative) when directed;
- Liaise with internal departments and external agencies on investigations;
- Provide input to policies, procedures and reports for security investigations;
- Provide security awareness and training;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent prioritization and analytical skills;
- All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of IT Security Services.

Position Effective Date & Length:
Non-union, 35 hours/week. Located at the Chatham Regional Education Centre.

Level 4 - $76,319 - $84,799

Pension and benefits will be provided in accordance with Board regulations.
