Corporate M&A Paralegal Professional

Miller Thomson, a leading national business law firm, is seeking an experienced Corporate M&A Paralegal to join our Calgary office. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary.
Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
About the RoleThis key team member will assist lawyers in routine incorporations, amendments, continuances, amalgamations, dissolutions, business name and partnership registrations, extra provincial registrations of corporations and limited partnerships, and related corporate maintenance matters.
Responsibilities- Drafting and revising documents relating to incorporations, organizations, share allotments, transfers, corporate changes in directors, officers and shareholders, dividends, dissolutions or revivals as well as annual maintenance corporate documentation.
- Maintaining and reviewing corporate records, securities ledgers and registers, including uploading executed documents to virtual minute books.
- Preparing and updating information for extra-provincial registrations of corporations, business names, partnership registrations, limited partnerships and related renewals in all provinces and territories across Canada.
- Completion of a Paralegal Certificate or Diploma or equivalent;
- A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience as a Paralegal within a law firm environment;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Professional communication skills with clients, lawyers and team members;
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities;
- Proven ability to manage a large workload volume, competing priorities and demands;
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and follow instructions;
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
