Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at Maple Ridge Carpet One Center 2014 Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality flooring installations for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered and prepare them for installation by measuring, marking, and cleaning as needed.
  • Measure and Cut Flooring Materials: Measure and cut flooring materials to the correct size and shape for installation.
  • Install Flooring: Install flooring materials, including carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors, to the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
  • Remove Existing Flooring: Remove existing flooring and contaminants to prepare surfaces for new installations.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the flooring industry, or equivalent experience.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work environment, requiring the ability to handle heavy loads and work in dusty conditions.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
