Magil Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Manager to lead our projects in London, Ontario.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in construction management. As a Senior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for directing the overall operations of our projects and ensuring their success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely completion and within budget;
  • Coordinate and manage site meetings with professionals and subcontractors to discuss project progress, address issues, and make decisions;
  • Monitor and control project costs, including tracking expenses, managing change orders, and negotiating with contractors;
  • Ensure compliance with Ontario Construction Code, Human Rights Code, and Occupational Health and Safety Act;
  • Collaborate with the Director of Construction to develop and implement policies and procedures to improve project management practices;
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of project coordinators and assistants to support project delivery;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, civil engineering, building engineering, or related field;
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in construction management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget;
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and MS Project software, as well as Procore and other construction management tools;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team;
  • Mastery of budgeting and financial analysis, with the ability to create and manage project budgets;
  • LEED accreditation and bilingual ability in French/English are considered assets;
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP matching, and paid time off.
