About the Role:

The Métis Nation of Ontario is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to serve as the Chief of Staff for the Provincial Secretaries office. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Provincial Secretaries office, ensuring seamless coordination and communication with the MNO administration and senior leadership team.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to the Provincial Secretaries, enabling them to effectively advocate and advise on key issues.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans in collaboration with the President and Provincial Secretaries, driving results and achieving organizational goals.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Chief of Staff or leadership experience in an Indigenous or non-Indigenous government setting.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher certification in a field such as Public Service/Government Operations/Political Science.
  • Recent experience interacting with boards or councils at a senior leadership level.
  • Exceptional project coordination, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve conflicts and manage challenging situations.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with a focus on relationship-building.
  • Ability to work extended hours or on weekends as required.
  • Willing and able to travel with overnight stays in other provinces.
  • Bilingualism (considered an asset).
