As a key member of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) team, the Coordinator, Research Funds Services plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of research financial reporting and administration. This position reports to the Administrator, Research Business Operations and is responsible for providing expert financial guidance and support to researchers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor research projects and grant budgets to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with PHSA policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the development and submission of research financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Liaise with the PHSA restricted funds finance team to maintain accurate grant financial information.
- Monitor and track receipts and disbursements, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies.
- Assist with the management, allocation, and coordination of research funds among partners and stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will require a diploma in accounting/financial management or a related field, with a minimum of three years of recent experience in a multi-government institutional setting. You will also need to possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in a university/life science environment is essential, as is familiarity with grant management and the guidelines and policies of national and international granting agencies. Experience working with financial reporting and project management applications is also highly desirable.
