The Director, Term Funding will support department initiatives with respect to the issuance, diversification, and management of the Bank's capital and/or wholesale term funding.
- Issuance and Redemption
- Manage the issuance, redemption, and/or repurchase of capital and/or wholesale term funding.
- Perform market research, pricing, and analysis.
- Identify execution opportunities and interact with dealers and rating agencies.
- Execute transactions, including regulatory requirements, documentation, and settlement.
- Diversification
- Support the diversification of capital and/or wholesale term funding.
- Identify opportunities for new products, markets, and/or programs supported by analysis, market research, and other diligence.
- Obtain internal and external approvals and manage the drafting of program documentation and/or amendments to existing program documents.
- Liaise with business lines for data, if applicable, and establish processes and policies.
- Program Management
- Manage capital and/or wholesale term funding programs.
- Ensure continuous disclosure requirements are met.
- Manage program renewals, including Board approval and regulatory filings.
- Review quarterly Bank financial statements for capital and funding disclosure.
- Review quarterly financial statements for funding programs administered by the Bank.
- Perform quarterly due diligence, including general Bank and funding program-specific reviews.
- Document and maintain established processes and controls.
- Monitor usage against shelf limits.
- Team Management
- Manage a team responsible for booking, internal reporting, analytics, and department processes.
- Ensure adherence and sufficiency of these processes.
- Manage the wholesale term funding plan and/or capital plan.
- Manage the dealer scorecard, issuance database, and investor reporting for capital and wholesale term funding programs.
- Collaborate with product areas for collateral pool management.
- Maintain deal booking in bank systems and calendars and schedules to support department efficiency.
- Sustainable Bond Program
- Manage the Bank's Sustainable Bond program.
- Maintain and update the Bank's Sustainable Bond Framework.
- Identify opportunities and execute on sustainable bond issuances.
- Oversee the sustainable bond portfolio and use of proceeds/reporting requirements.
- Fixed Income Investor Relations
- Manage Group Treasury's Fixed Income Investor Relations.
- Prepare annual fixed income investor marketing plans.
- Support the preparation of Bank, Treasury, and/or deal-specific marketing materials.
- Participate in investor meetings and address investor-related inquiries.
- Expert Knowledge
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of the Bank's funding vehicles and markets.
- Understand the associated legal, financial, operational, and regulatory considerations.
- Support and Supervision
- Support internal and external control functions, including audit, SoX, Operational Risk, compliance, and other department initiatives.
- Support Bank-wide regulatory projects or requirements, such as resolution, playbooks, and stress testing.
- Effectively supervise and review (in)direct reports to support the achievement of business objectives.
