About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Capital Markets Risk to join our team at OMERS. As a key member of our risk management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of our capital markets risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of risk management strategies for our capital markets portfolios
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Develop and maintain risk models and analytics to support risk management decisions
  • Provide risk oversight and advice to senior management and the investment committee
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to inform risk management strategies
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in risk management, portfolio management, or investment research
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets, credit markets, and risk management principles
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as finance, engineering, or science
  • Professional designations, such as CFA or FRM, are an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders
