About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural or Technical Engineer to join our team at BBA inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and reports to support project delivery.
  • Design power line and substation structures to meet client requirements.
  • Perform technical functions to support project execution, including site inspections and surveys.
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and assessing work to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Prepare estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, budgets, specifications, and reports to support project management.
  • Participate in monitoring and commissioning technological solutions as required.
  • Ensure quality control of the work of engineers and drafters.
  • Assess client satisfaction and maintain close relationships with clients and their representatives.
  • Coordinate the work of contractors on site and monitor work progress.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or College degree in Civil Engineering, specialization in Structural.
  • 1-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and advanced knowledge in reading drawings.
  • Intermediate knowledge of workplace safety and field monitoring.
  • Knowledge of SAFI or the PLS-CADD suite.
  • Proficient with the relevant code of ethics.
  • Intermediate knowledge of quality system procedures and instructions.
  • Available to travel to client sites and offices (20-40% of the time).
  • Bilingual (English and French).
