About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural or Technical Engineer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for our clients in the Energy and Natural Resources sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare plans, specifications, and reports to support project delivery
  • Design power line and substation structures to meet client requirements
  • Perform technical functions to support project execution, including site inspections and surveys
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and assessing work to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Prepare estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, budgets, specifications, and reports to support project delivery
  • Participate in monitoring and commissioning technological solutions as required
  • Ensure quality control of the work of engineers and drafters
  • Assess client satisfaction and maintain close and harmonious relationships with clients and their representatives
  • Coordinate the work of contractors on site and monitor work progress

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or College degree in Civil Engineering, specialization in Structural
  • 1-5 years of experience in a related field
  • Proficiency in technical writing and advanced knowledge in reading drawings
  • Intermediate knowledge of workplace safety and field monitoring
  • Knowledge of SAFI or the PLS-CADD suite
  • Proficient with the relevant code of ethics
  • Intermediate knowledge of quality system procedures and instructions
  • Available to travel to client sites and offices (20-40% of the time)
  • Bilingual (English and French)
