About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural or Technical Engineer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for our clients in the Energy and Natural Resources sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement plans, specifications, and reports to support project delivery;
- Design and develop power line and substation structures;
- Perform technical functions to support project delivery, including site inspections and surveys;
- Assist with planning, organizing, and assessing work;
- Prepare estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, budgets, specifications, and reports;
- Participate in monitoring and commissioning technological solutions, as required;
- Ensure quality control of the work of engineers and drafters;
- Assess client satisfaction and maintain close and harmonious relationships with clients and their representatives;
- Coordinate the work of contractors on site and monitor work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or College degree in Civil Engineering, specialization in Structural;
- From one to five years of experience;
- Proficiency in technical writing;
- Advanced knowledge in reading drawings;
- Intermediate knowledge of workplace safety and field monitoring;
- Knowledge of SAFI or the PLS-CADD suite;
- Proficient with the relevant code of ethics;
- Intermediate knowledge of quality system procedures and instructions;
- Available to travel to client sites and offices (20% to 40% of the time);
- Bilingual (English and French).
