About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for our clients in the Energy and Natural Resources sector.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement plans, specifications, and reports for various projects;
  2. Design and develop power line and substation structures;
  3. Perform technical functions to support project delivery, including site inspections and surveys;
  4. Assist with planning, organizing, and assessing work;
  5. Prepare estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, budgets, specifications, and reports;
  6. Participate in monitoring and commissioning technological solutions when required;
  7. Ensure quality control of the work of engineers and drafters;
  8. Assess client satisfaction and maintain close and harmonious relationships with clients and their representatives;
  9. Coordinate the work of contractors on site and monitor work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, specialization in Structural;
  • From one to five years of experience;
  • Proficiency in technical writing;
  • Advanced knowledge in reading drawings;
  • Intermediate knowledge of workplace safety and field monitoring;
  • Knowledge of SAFI or the PLS-CADD suite;
  • Proficient with the relevant code of ethics;
  • Intermediate knowledge of quality system procedures and instructions;
  • Available to travel to client sites and offices (20% to 40% of the time);
  • Bilingual (English and French).
