About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a key member of our Structural Engineering team, you will be responsible for working with multidisciplinary teams on various projects, carrying out consulting engineering tasks such as design studies and preliminary and detailed engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop concrete and steel foundations and structures
  2. Coordinate design activities with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
  3. Prepare estimates, technical specifications, and reports
  4. Contribute to quality control of the work of technicians and drafters
  5. Assist with estimates, schedules, and budgets, as needed
  6. Help plan, organize, and assess work
  7. Monitor site work, as required
  8. Assist with site inspections and surveys
  9. Perform other technical functions to support project delivery
  10. Maintain close and harmonious relationships with clients or their representatives

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent training and experience

Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec

Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience

Knowledge of structural analysis software

Ability to travel occasionally to client sites and offices

Asset: Experience in finite element calculations

Asset: Dynamic structural analysis

Asset: Bilingual (English and French)
