About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our client relationships and drive business growth. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for managing client expectations, identifying opportunities, and developing strategic solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to expand our services and increase revenue.
  • Develop and sell through Spark solutions to clients, highlighting the value proposition.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of client businesses, including current and historical perspectives.
  • Coordinate and ensure the quality of work for all client deliverables.
  • Effectively negotiate annual retainer fees with clients to ensure fair profit margins.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure current staff is fully utilized and operating effectively to meet client needs within budget.
  • Participate in overall company management, new business development, and offer support to business issues and senior management decisions.
  • Provide thought leadership to colleagues, clients, and projects.
  • Manage client contributions to vendor commitments.
  • Take a lead role in recruiting new staff and make hiring recommendations for the team.
  • Ensure accurate client financials are delivered on deadline.
  • Ensure accurate client forecasts for internal agency usage.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 10+ years of progressive levels of responsibility in media planning, buying, and management.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and a track record of success in the media services profession.
  • Able to establish and manage to P&L statement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Solid interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong command of media research and reporting resources.
