Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Representative to join our team at Doman Building Materials Group Ltd. This role will play a key part in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base across various regions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, identifying new business opportunities, and implementing effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth. They will also work closely with our operations team to ensure seamless execution of orders and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our building materials products and services to effectively communicate their value to customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Cold calling and outreach to potential customers to introduce our products and services.
  • Collaborate with our operations team to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Promptly respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; formal sales training is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Able to quickly learn technical information specific to the building industry.
  • Working knowledge of the entire Building Products category is an asset.
  • Comfortable with conducting outbound phone calls to existing and potential customers.
  • Very comfortable with Excel, Word, and Outlook; good keyboarding skills and computer skills.
  • Aptitude for numerical calculations.
  • Excellent English communication skills at a capacity to influence sales over the phone.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive base salary, ranging from $45,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, you will be eligible for our annual incentive plan based on company performance, group pension plan with employer matching contributions, health benefits, and purchase Doman Building Materials Group Ltd. stock at a discounted price. Work Environment
