Key Responsibilities:
  • Study market reports and sales promotion materials to stay up-to-date on industry trends and pricing.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of fresh produce.
  • Negotiate prices and credit terms with suppliers to optimize our purchasing budget.
  • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to our outlets and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Review sales data and market research to determine the quantity and type of produce to purchase.
  • Select and purchase produce for resale, ensuring high-quality products meet our standards.
  • Supervise the work of other buyers and provide guidance on purchasing procedures.
  • Visit trade shows, showrooms, and product design events to stay informed about new products and trends.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of spreadsheet software, such as MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
