McCarthy Tétrault is seeking a highly skilled Proposal Writer to join our team. As a Proposal Writer, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing proposals that showcase our firm's expertise and value proposition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and write high-quality proposals that meet client needs and showcase our firm's expertise
  • Collaborate with lawyers and business development teams to understand client needs and develop tailored proposals
  • Provide strategic direction and insight to ensure proposals are responsive, client-focused, and articulate our firm's value and differentiation
  • Organize and lead kick-off meetings to determine win themes and proposal and pricing strategy
  • Oversee and finalize client-ready RFPs and proposals, including production using our internal print shop and/or submission via procurement sites
  • Ensure RFPs, proposals, and pitches are tracked in our firm's business development databases

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience, ideally with 2 years in a large professional services organization
  • Professional maturity, including strong interpersonal skills, tact, and discretion
  • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities with challenging deadlines
  • Ability to complete designated tasks in a systematic and logical way, with great attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail in writing, editing, and budgeting
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable
