About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at KARAT'S INC. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and ensuring a tidy workspace.
  • Drink Recommendations: Offer personalized drink recommendations to customers, taking into account their preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Cash Handling: Collect cash, credit, or debit payments for beverages and operate the cash register with accuracy.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain inventory of bar stock, ensuring that we always have a well-stocked selection of beverages.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarize yourself with provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, and ensure that we are in compliance at all times.
  • Drink Preparation: Prepare a wide range of beverages, including mixed drinks, wine, draft beer, and non-alcoholic options.
  • Order Taking: Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons, ensuring that orders are accurate and fulfilled promptly.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and maintaining a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role
  • Work Setting: Lounge or night club environment
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
