About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at KARAT'S INC. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and ensuring a tidy workspace.
  • Drink Recommendations: Offer personalized drink recommendations to customers, taking into account their preferences and tastes.
  • Cash Handling: Collect cash, credit, or debit payments for beverages and operate the cash register with accuracy.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain inventory of bar stock, ensuring that we always have a well-stocked bar.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarize yourself with provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, and ensure that we are in compliance at all times.
  • Drink Preparation: Prepare a variety of drinks, including mixed cocktails, wine, draft and bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Order Taking: Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons, ensuring that orders are accurate and fulfilled promptly.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, with a high volume of customers and orders.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods, moving around the bar area to attend to customers and manage the bar.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
